Many times our brand releases a model in their home country of Japan that eventually gives way to an American version for the Millennium Honda showroom. This seems to be the case with the new Vezel, which is currently only available overseas in the Land of the Rising Sun.
The Honda Vezel is a subcompact SUV based upon the next-generation Fit that was revealed last month in Detroit. The unique Vezel includes some incredible style and features that have allowed it to garner a lot of popularity within Japan in its short time on the market.
The Vezel has a hybrid powertrain that gives it the ability to be driven solely in EV mode, and comes equipped with a fresh double-clutch gearbox. Honda did not stop there with this Japanese exclusive model, as it is also outfitted with full-LED lights.
This unique model is the best of both worlds, as it has the roof of a coupe and the storage space and cabin comfort of a SUV. The versatility of the Vezel in undeniable, and to have it spawn a model for America would be a very exciting day.
Rumors have fluttered about the airwaves regarding the Fit giving birth to an SUV version here in the United States, and with the announcement that Europe will get a Vezel-like model our hopes are high here in Hempstead, New York.
